Sylvie Derenne
Submitted by: Sonja | Sylvie Derenne is a member of our church and a member of Heaven's Saints MM. She is a novice bike rider and has not had a lot of experience. She was so looking forward to Biker Sunday and the ride-in. Unfortunately, she crashed her bike on Saturday night and had to come in a car. She is pretty banged up and will have to have surgery on her arm at the end of next week...She broke her arm and wrist. She also has very deep road rash on both arms. She was also scheduled to leave today to go visit her family in Belgium. Obviously, that trip had to be rescheduled. Updates...
Submitted by: Sonja | Hannah Grace came through the surgery to put a temporary drain tube and is doing well. Her parents say that she is taking all of this like a trooper and that God's peace has sustained them. She is having a biopsy of the tumor today and they are putting in a different drain system to relieve the pressure of the fluid. Marci's husband has started a blog at jbharrison76.livejournal (dot)com. I put the link this way because the site will not allow me to actually put the entire link. Praise the Lord...They are scheduled to put a drain in on Sunday morning because there is fluid that needs to be drained. Will up-date as new information comes available. 2 year old child has brain tumor
Submitted by: Sonja | One of our teachers at Sylvan has a 2 year old daughter who has been suffering from headaches for a few days. Earlier in the week, she was taken to the doctor and the diagnosis was a virus. The headaches got worse and on Thursday evening her dad carried her to the walk-in clinic in Dothan before we got off work. I called Marci to check on her today and found out they are on their way to Birmingham. Her daughter, Hannah Grace, has a brain tumor in the back of her head. The only know that it is a calcified tumor and will know more upon seeing a doctor in Birmingham. Please pray for Marci, her daughter, Hannah Grace, Marci's husband (he is a youth minister), and their other child as this is a difficult time for all of them. UAB Biospy

Life as it changes......
